  1. There are two maps, which present information about changes in the Nelson in the past and nowadays.

During the period of 23 years, map has changed: some new buildings were built, the road has changed its purpose. In the same time, location is still staying near the port.
The first map shows the Nelson in 2000. There is city centre in the middle of the area. Road for traffic (cars, buses, etc.) were located under the middle of the map. In the North there were university with the forest on the right side. In the west of location there were two buildings: the train station and the old market.

Now, there is bike rental centre in the city centre. Restaurant, bars clubs are located above the port, but on different sides. Road was changed for pedestrians only. There are some new constructions on the top of the area: the hall of residence in the northwest, the new shopping centre in the northeast, the new train station under the old university. More over, the trainline was built from the city centre to the old university. Then, new shop was built in the right side of the city centre. Also, there is the new covered market in the southeast of the map.

    1. Well-done! Pay attention to the most noticeable changes within the given period.! We don't use articles with cities except two: the Hague, the Vatican.
There are two maps, which present information about changes in Nelson in the past and nowadays. The most noticeable change is the construction of some entertainment facilities in the port area. For the period of 23 years, theoutline haschanged: some new buildings were built, the road has changed its purpose. At the same time, the location is still close to the port.

The first map showed Nelson in 2000. There was a city centre in the middle of the area. The road for traffic (cars, buses, etc. ) was located in the south of the map. In the north there was a university with the forest on the right. In the west of the location there were two buildings: the train station and the old market.

Now, there is a bike rental center in the city centre. A restaurant, bars and clubs are located in the port area on different sides. The road was transformed into a pedestrian zone. There are some new constructions in the north of the city: the hall of residence in the northwest, the new shopping centre in the northeast, the new train station in front of the old university. Moreover, the train line was built in the direction from the city centre to the old university. Then, the new shop was built in the northeast of the city centre. Besides, there is a new covered market in the southeast of the map.

  2. There are two maps, which present the changes in the city of Nelson in recent times. As we can see, changes lasts from 2000 till now.
Thus, 23 years ago, the city centre was surrounded by university, train station and old market. Nowadays, instead of old market, there is a new shop in the southwest. In addition, a train station was reconstructed into a new train station actually in the middle. Nevertheless, the university remains the same. What about a city centre, nowadays it full of bike rental scheme in comparison with the past. What is more, our days we have a new covered market, but in 2000 this sight was empty. Then, there weren't any entertaining buildings in 2000, but in 2023 there are.It includes restaurant and bars and clubs which are located in the port area on different sides.
I'd like to add, that 23 years ago there was a road and nowadays this road is for pedestrians only.
To sum up, our days a hall of resident is built in the northwest, but it wasn't in the past. In addition, a new shopping centre was constructed instead of tree park.

  3. The maps show the city of Nelson in 2000 and the present day. We can see that Nelson has been expanded with significantly more facilities available to residents now compared with 2000.
The middle of the map has changed a lot: an old market has been reconstructed and improved, adding the train station that was relocated to the centre in front of the university.
In 2000, there was only a forest near school but today there is a new shopping mall on the right, hall of residence on the left and the trainline to the city centre, which is complemented by a bike rental scheme. Moreover a new covered market was erected close to the downtown area.
Moving to the bottom of the map, the road has changed: it has become available only to pedestrians. The port nowadays is markedly varied owing to a new service area with restaurant, bars and clubs.

    1. The description of the maps corresponds to the criteria, is well-structured and answers all parts of the question. However, next time pay attention to the usage of cardinal directions: north, east, south and west. It's not enough to say "on the right" because it's relative. Moreover, the appropriate usage of articles is still significant.

  4. There are two maps of Nelson, which demonstrate the difference between 2000 and today.

Nelson has undergone enormous changes for the period of 24 years. Compared to 2000, we can say that in the northeast, instead of a park, a new shopping center has appeared. New covered markets have also appeared in the east (that were not on the first map). The road has also changed, or rather it has now turned into a pedestrian area next to which the port is still located. In the past it was empty, but after 24 years bars and clubs have appeared in the south-east, and a restaurant is located in the south-west. In the west of the new map, instead of the old market, a new store has appeared.

The city centre, after such a long period, has developed significantly with the appearance of a bicycle zone. New train station has moved from left side of the map to the centre, near the bicycle zone. To the right of the new relocated train station the territory was occupied by one tramline. Thus, the last change of Nelson is new hall of residence, which did not exist in 2000 and which is located to the northwest of the university.

    1. The report accurately describes most changes between the two maps. The report is well-organized and easy to follow. The progression of ideas is logical and clear. Next time pay more attention to the usage of passive voice and linking words.

The maps illustrate the transformation of Nelson from the year 2000 to the present day, highlighting the development of various urban features.
Overall, there has been substantial urban development in Nelson, characterized by the introduction of new amenities and a reconfiguration of existing infrastructure.
In 2000, the city showcased key structures such as a university, a train station, and a city center that housed an old market, all situated along a two-lane road, while a port was positioned beneath. As of today, the university remains in place, but a significant addition is the newly constructed shopping center in the northeast. Moreover, a contemporary train station has emerged, centrally located near the bicycle rental zone, enhancing pedestrian accessibility. The city center has seen transformations as well, with the old market being replaced by a new store and the introduction of a pedestrian-only street, enhancing the urban experience.
Further alterations are evident surrounding the port area, which has not only remained but expanded its offerings with the establishment of a restaurant, bars, and clubs in the southeast, attracting increased foot traffic. Additionally, the former emptiness of this region has transformed into a vibrant recreational space. To the northwest of the university, a new hall of residence has also been introduced, indicating a surge in accommodation options for students. Collectively, these developments signify a significant progression in Nelson's urban landscape over the past 24 years.
