Prepositions are important in any task including maps. It is important to say exactly where things are located in relation to other places.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The maps show Pacific Railway Station station in 1998 and now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features,
and make comparisons where relevant.

There two maps, which present Pacific Railway Stations in 1998 and nowadays. Both of areas have common facilities, such as railway platforms and buildings with different locations depend on periods of time.
ReplyDeleteIn 1998, there were toilets in the middle of map. More than half of the territory occupied by 4 platforms which were located on the northeast. Finally, there were three buildings on the southeast of the area: cafe, shop and ticket office.
Now, there are 3 platforms on the northwest. Supermarket is located on the southwest. Southeast of map is occupied by cafe and ticket office. Also, there are 4 railways platforms on the northeast. Finally, there are three buildings in the middle of the map: restaurant and two shops.

Besides, there are 4 railway platforms in the northeast. Finally, there are three buildings in the middle of the map: a restaurant and two shops.

The second distinction is that in 1998 there were toilets in the middle of the map. On the contrary, nowadays there are not any toilets. In addition, there were only one shop in the southeast of the map in 1998. Though, nowadays all significant sights( it includes 2 shops and a restaurant) are located in the middle of the map. What about the cafe and ticket office, the location remains the same.
If we speak about supermarket, there weren't any shop in 1998. Besides, today there are a supermarket in the southwest of the map.

Well-done! Your essay meets the criteria and has a well-developed structure. Nevertheless, next time focus on further details, such as the size, colour, shape and location. Besides, take notice of usage of articles, plural forms, construction there is/there are.

In addition, there was only one shop in the southeast of the map in 1998. Though, nowadays all significant sights including 2 shops and a restaurantare located in the middle of the map. What about the cafe and the ticket office, the location remains the same whereas the size of the ticket office has grown.

They are located on both east and west sides of the map. Number of toilets was reduced to zero whilst two shops and a restaurant were built on this site. The location of the cafe and the ticket office remains the same, adding that the size of the latter has grown. Finally, one more construction was built in the southwest which is a supermarket.

All in all, the essay is well-structured, uses the appropriate linking words. On the contrary, the usage of tenses and synonyms must be more varied. For results it's more advisable to use Present Perfect and for Passive constructions -- Present Perfect Passive.You should pay more attention to the usage of articles.
