Make sure that you focus on the dates/times given in this kind of task as they will help you determine which tenses are most appropriate. For example, if the second map says 'Now' then you are likely to be using past simple and present perfect to describe the changes.

The maps illustrate the transformation of University Campus between the year of 2010 to the present day, highlighting the development of various urban features.
ReplyDeleteOverall, urban features such as two student accommodation, that were separated with each other by a road, university offices located in the northeast, teaching block in the east, shops in the southeast, southern restaurant, and the lake and lawn with seating area in the middle of the map, occupied the territory in 2010. As of today, significant improvements of the territory have been achieved. Starting with the student accommodation, their location was connected and the number of floors was increased. Moreover, there is another dormitory has been added on the site where the restaurant was located. The university offices were replaced by a new building, which in turn was created by dividing the Teaching block into a Science building and an Arts building (the first one is occupy the territory of University offices and the second one is located instead of Teaching block).
The southwestern part of the map has undergone enormous changes too. On the site of the former student residence to the west, a Student facilities building has emerged, which now consists of shops, offices, and much more. The new part of the road were added in the south too. Finally the lawn around the lake containing the seating area was removed. Collectively, these developments of University Campus signify progression over 14 years.
