6th grade. Unit 6. Lesson 8. One of a kind

One of the best ways to see volcanoes in Hawaii is at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The park surrounds two super volcanoes, including Mauna Loa, the biggest volcano in the world. One of the things you should do is hike to flowing lava. National Park Service shares that you can hike and bicycle along the route at the end of Chain of Craters Road to view lava as it flows down the PÅ«lama Pali and spreads out onto the coastal lava plain in the national park, and towards the ocean.

Denali is six million acres of wild land, bisected by one ribbon of road. Travelers along it see the relatively low-elevation taiga forest give way to high alpine tundra and snowy mountains, culminating in North America's tallest peak, 20,310' Denali. Wild animals large and small roam un-fenced lands, living as they have for ages. Solitude, tranquility and wilderness await. Closed in winter? Not Denali! Winter is a great time to explore the park, whether by foot, ski, snowshoe, bike or other means!
