 UNIT OBJECTIVES 

By the end of the unit Ss will

• be able to use the active vocabulary of the unit
• be able to differentiate between relative pronouns who, whose, whom and which, Participle I and Participle II and use them in speech
• have practised reading and listening about famous English and Belarusian writers, people's opinion on books and book characters, the history and role of books, changes in reading habits
• be able to ask for and share information about the history and role of books, different genres
• be able to describe a favourite author and book character, to recommend a book to read, to express their opinion about poetry
• be able to write a story about a scary, exciting, funny or memorable event

COMMUNICATIVE AREA
